OCS uses high grade organic and natural ingredients first and foremost and only use synthetic ingredients when there are no suitable natural alternatives. They also use the lowest possible levels of PPD and steer clear of harsh chemicals such as ammonia, parabens, resorcinol, and formaldehyde. They do absolutely no animal testing and formulate their products so that they are biodegradable and can be safely washed down the sink.
